Activities
Our membership has many interests across the wide-ranging amateur radio hobby. Some of the interests are the basis for regular activities run by the club.
Community Service
The club is active in serving the community by supporting various major events, and providing small grants to worthy students. See Community Service for more information.
Foxhunting
Approximately monthly, members participate in a game / training exercise called "foxhunting". (It does NOT involve foxes.) See Foxhunting for more information.
Projects & Kit-Building
Building things - antennas, electronic parts, radios - is an important part of the hobby. Our club sponsors project nights to foster this activity. See Projects & Kit-Building for more information.
Training Courses
The amateur radio hobby provides opportunity for lifelong learning. We sponsor training courses to help people get into the hobby, and expand their horizons once in it. See Training Courses for more information.
Amateur Radio Emergency Service
As part of our community service, we train and plan to provide emergency communications systems in the event of disaster in our communities. See Amateur Radio Emergency Service for more information.
Field Day
The annual continent-wide Field Day exercise allows us to participate in a fun competition while learning about and proving our readiness for an emergency. See Field Day for more information.
Hamfest
Our yearly fall hamfest (flea market) is the largest in Ontario. See Hamfest for more information.
Dayton Hamvention
Many of our club's members travel to Dayton, Ohio, together each May for the world's largest amateur radio convention and hamfest. See Dayton Hamvention for more information.
