Our Club
The York Region Amateur Radio Club (YRARC) has operated since 1959 in the area north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
In its decades of operation, the club and its members have been involved in every facet of the wide-ranging amateur radio hobby. Our members and directors are of all ages, from all walks of life. Our regular meetings have something for everyone. The club is formally incorporated, and governed by a set of bylaws.
Club membership is growing as it draws members from all over York Region - a large area extending north from Toronto to Lake Simcoe - as well as from neighbouring regions.
The club is actively focused on community service and learning along with typical pursuits of building and using communications equipment.
Our repeaters are among the busiest and most-sociable in Ontario, with good coverage of most of the Greater Toronto Area.
We publish a monthly newsletter - The Splatter, freely available here on the site - offering interesting articles and news about the club's activities.
We hope you enjoy exploring our club, and we look forward to meeting you some time!
